Bishop's
Appeal

“When did we ….?”
“When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked
and clothe you?” When did we see you ill or in prison and
visit you?” “And the King will say to them, whatever
you did for one of these least ones, you did for me.” (Mt.
25)
This year, our year of study and prayer has focused on the social
justice teaching of the Catholic Church. At the recent “January
Institute” in Casper, I was astounded to listen to the many
ways our parishes and the Diocese are living out the mandate of
Jesus from Matthew 25. So many of you are doing “something
beautiful for God” and your donations to the Bishop’s
Appeal have helped us as a Diocese to also be the eyes and ears,
hands and feet of Jesus Christ to our world today.
Your church is actively engaged, and desires to be even more engaged
in bringing the Gospel to those in need. Won’t you help us?
When did we …..? Whenever you did
it for one of these least ones, you did it for me. Thank you
in advance for your generosity.
Please know of my continuous praying for you and your family.
The Most Reverend David L. Ricken, DD, JCL
Bishop of Cheyenne
