Weather Issues Greetings all. Can you believe this incredible weather? One thing is for certain, the weather will change. Please make sure your child is prepared for the cold with proper attire as cold and snowy conditions will not keep them indoors. Occasionally, the weather is so bad that it is necessary for students to remain indoors. We would like to put together indoor recess boxes filled with things that could occupy the children in fun and meaningful ways that still allows them and the teachers a bit of a break. To do this we are looking for donations of puzzles, games, cards, coloring books, etc. to fill a box. We could also large plastic boxes in which to store the items. If you can help with any of these items please send them to school. These items do not need to be new but all items should be in good condition. Ideally, we would like to have a box per grade level. For older students, chess and cribbage would be great games. Thanks.
Lunch Parents, grandparents, staff, and teachers are always welcome to have lunch at school. We are blessed to have great homemade and nutritious meals. We are requesting that you let the office know by 9:30 if you plan to eat a school lunch for that day. If we do not have an accurate number of meals being planned for, then we run the risk of not making enough food for the middle school students. If you have never seen a hungry a middle school student, trust us…it is not pretty! If you not have the opportunity to sign up by 9:30, you are welcome to purchase a lunch after all students have received theirs. Thank you for your cooperation concerning this.
Rolls for Thanksgiving Mrs. Witt is offering homemade rolls for your Thanksgiving dinner. She is taking orders with payment between now and November 21 by 9:00a.m. You may pick up your rolls by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22. Proceeds form this sale will go towards a new food processor for the kitchen. The cost is $2.50 for one dozen.
Scrips Gift Cards We have a great variety of gift cards available for your Christmas shopping, in a variety of denominations. Please consider St. Anthony Tri-Parish School when you need gifts. Some stores available are Barnes and Nobel, Waldenbooks, Bath & Body Works, Exxon, Shell, Red Lobster, Wendy’s, and Applebee’s, to name a few. Please check us out. If we do not have what you want, be sure to ask and we will try to get what is on your list.

Health Issue In the past few weeks, we have had a few outbreaks of head lice. Included is some information concerning this and ways in which to treat it. Please take time to check your child frequently and if lice appear, follow the suggestions on the information sheet. Please contact the school. Children are not to be in school until the problem is treated. The treatment should be treated like strep and you should wait 24 hours before allowing your child to return.
PTO FAMILY MATH NIGHT We are very excited about this evening. Our teachers are been busy preparing for math activities to teach you and your child that will reinforce reasoning, higher level thinking, and facts. You will be able to go home with a bag if tricks that will help your child improve in math. You will have the opportunity to participate many centers that cross all grade levels. Bring a friend. We will meet in the gym at 6:30 p.m. and begin after a very short PTO business meeting.
