For God
so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, so that everyone
who believes in Him may not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
Jesus was a craftsman who spent about the last three years of His life as a traveling preacher.
Jesus is our savior, sent to us by God to save us from our sins. He was both God and man.
Since we were born into sin, Jesus came to us to save us. Jesus ended the power of sin and death over us, by giving up His life so that we may have eternal life with Him.
Without Jesus, we would be floundering, looking, searching for truth. As humans, we need a physical example of how to live and Jesus was/is that example.
Jesus loved you enough to die a painful death for you. And He is always ready to save you again from evil. He is always there when you need Him, just ask, whether through prayer or in your heart.
Jesus gave us one very important command to follow, it is "Love one another as I love you."

Jesus was and is
a true friend, always there when you need Him
Jesus
was poor
and humble,
He never put on airs or worried about material things,
never bragged about how great He was or what wonderful things He's done,
loved and accepted everyone for who and what they were, and still does,
chose the humble and poor over the rich and righteous,
treated everyone with respect and dignity regardless of who they were, where
they were from or how they lived.
While Jesus was a human, He said things like
I am the
way, the truth and the light. (John 14:6)
I am with you always. (Matthew 28:20)
I am the bread of life. (John 6:48)
Follow me. (Luke 5:27)
[You] hypocrites
(Matthew 15:7)
Young man, I tell you, arise! (Luke 7:14)
This is my body
(Luke 22:19)
