The 7 Spiritual Works of Mercy
Acts of love to care for the spiritual needs of our neighbor, such as comforting the sorrowful.

To convert the sinner.
To instruct the ignorant.
To counsel the doubtful.
To comfort the sorrowful.
To bear wrongs patiently.
To forgive injuries.
To pray for the living and the dead.

The 7 Corporal Works of Mercy
Acts of love to care for the physical needs of our neighbor, such as feeding the hungry.

To feed the hungry.
To shelter the homeless.
To give drink to the thirsty.
To visit the sick.
To clothe the naked.
To visit the imprisoned.
To bury the dead.

The 3 Theological Virtues(supernatural in origin)
Theological means pertaining to God. Theology is the study of God. Theological Virtues are virtues with God for their proper object.

Faith - Virtue by which we believe all that God has revealed: also, the body of truths which we believe.
Hope - This virtue enable us to trust firmly in God and His promise of eternal life to those who love and obey Him.
Charity - Virtue that enables us to love God above all things, and to love our neighbor for the love of God.

The 4 Cardinal Virtues
These virtues are like hinges on which hang all the other moral virtues and our whole moral life. The word "cardinal" is derived from the Latin word "cardo" meaning hinge.

Prudence - This virtue helps us to make practical judgments on what to do and what not to do.
Justice - 1. Holiness, especially the holiness of God; 2. that which obligates us to give to everyone what belongs to him.
Fortitude - A Cardinal virtue which disposes us to do what is good in spite of any difficulty.
Temperance - This enables us to control the desires of the senses and to use them according to the designs of God.

The Sins that Cry Out to Heaven

Murder
The sin of the Sodomites
Oppression ( cruelty) of the poor
Injustice (unfairness) to the wage earner

The 7 Capital Sins:
The chief roots of sin. They are inclinations in our will to go against God's will in different ways.

Pride - Thinking of ourselves as more than we are and desiring to e treated as more than we are.
Avarice (Materialism) - A strong desire for possessions, especially those of another.
Envy - Willful discontent, or even resentment consented to, at another's good fortune.
Wrath - A strong feeling of displeasure, often resulting in a loss of temper.
Lust - The desire for unlawful bodily pleasure.
Gluttony (Greed) - Overeating, or overdrinking, eating greedily.
Sloth - Laziness that causes the neglect of duty.
